Recent research proves immersing oneself in the forest is therapeutic. Idyllwild is surrounded by trees that produce a positive impact on our well-being. The history and practice of “bathing” in the forest, by using the five senses to unlock the healing power of nature, will be presented by Mary Rider, Friends of the San Jacinto Mountains County Park Director. Examples of how and why our bodies respond to the natural environment will be included. Idyllwild Nature Center is an ideal place to forest bathe. In early June there’ll be a 2-hour program to observe and appreciate being amongst the trees.
