The inaugural La Quinta Book Fest is for all book lovers, and will include author talks, book signings, story times, and family-friendly fun in Civic Center Park.

Why do we love true crime/murder mysteries/thrillers? Join this panel as the authors discuss their thoughts on why people love reading mysteries, thrillers, and/or true crime books, what books have kept them up at night, and their favorite crime dramas.

It’s OK to read Romance
Do you read romance? Or are you one of those people who scoffs at the term “romance novel?” Enjoy this discussion on why it’s perfectly fine to read romance novels and hear the authors’ thoughts on whether or not a “happy ever after” is always needed.

Join this panel for a discussion on why positive representation is so important to have in literature today. The authors will explore how diverse fiction helps us understand the complexities of communities other than our own and give examples of some great diverse fiction and nonfiction.
