Michelle Ferrara, Program Director at Astro Camp, will talk about “Nature Deficit Disorder”. Encouraged by her parents to “go on adventures”, Michelle spent her childhood playing in woods, rivers and lakes, discovering new things about the outdoors every day. Not every child, or adult, gets to have these experiences. What happens when one is deprived of nature? Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in fisheries and wildlife, with a minor in physics. She holds certifications in CPR, First Aid, lifeguarding, NAUI diving, and has her private pilot license. Join us for our own nature adventure with Michelle. Sponsored by the Friends of the Idyllwild Library.
